June 9, 2009 was indeed a festive night at the bookstore.
The charming and delightful 94-year-old
Micky Moore talked about his decades in film, and signed
copies of his memoir, My Magic Carpet
of Films, for over 150 people who came to see him.
Delicious cookies, ripe strawberries and ice-cold lemonade
were laden on the table outside the bookstore, beautifully
set up by Micky's two lovely daughters. Everyone was filled
with joy and love for this amazing mentor and teacher
to many. Micky told numerous wonderful stories from his
decades of experience in front of, and behind, the camera.
Anyone with any interest at all in the film industry will
enjoy this memoir, filled with incredible photos from
throughout the ages. Get your signed copy while they last,
